Knowledge for exam

Hey,

I don't really know how you can help me, but I need to prepare myself for the school I'm going in. It is really my dream to become a producer, but I need to do an exam before I can enter.. And I heard that exam is very hard so I need to prepare myself very good. But I do not have enough study material for myself. So if there is anyone who knows a couple of videos, sites, books, magazines or something so I could prepare myself, I would really appreciate it. I have pretty good… Continue

so i totally believe that music can have the biggest influence on anybody. anyone song can change a persons life or look on things. It can be a different mind set, a healing. I'm not so sure if i have a talent yet, I have yet to discover alot of things about myself but what i do know is that i have a passion.

A Brave New Music World!

I think that this is an incredibly vital time in the music industry where the chips are just being reassigned. It's going to just be a different layout.

I love today's musician/artist. Today's artists are making music for themselves - no longer for a record deal. The simple fact that artists, musicians, writers, producers, ect. have all taken time to sign up for this site, create profiles, and go after information shows me that today's artists is about taking… Continue

I take the road less traveled by.

I took a walk around the neighborhood to ease my stress today. It was a simple walk, nobody was really around to bother me. I brought my trusty ipod, the first edition nano along for the stroll. The brisk air teased my nostrils almost as if to proclaim, "it feels like spring, but winter may still be hiding behind a corner waiting to pop out." The walk was brief and before I knew it I was already at home. It's safe to say that I at least try to take the road less traveled by. I make my own… Continue

getting started?

I have played music since 4th grade, and have created many over many clips of music. I play guitar and piano and have written only a handfull of songs. I taught myself both of these instruments so i have no knowledge of theory music writting or producing. i consider myself talented and feel like i should be writting music. My question is how do i get started? i have a music program Ableton and have recorded a few songs, but i still have many questions. Where do you start when writing songs? How…See More

Does anyone have any material so I can study already or practice things I have to know for my later studies as producer? I need to do a very hard exam before I can enter the college and I really have to pass the exam. There are about 80 men participating for the exam but only 15 max can start studying. So is there anyone who has anything to help? Tips or books you recommend? Thanks in advanceSee More

How to become a Deejay or someone who plays music?

In my modest opinion, there is a problem about DJ courses.First of all, with my 15 years over experience, what i notice most is that the people who give these courses do it in a express form and disregard the most important. What you need to start a music course is with:Music culture.Period.Where it comes from, where it is, and where it's going. It's not by accidents that most of the new DJ's dont know what a BKS record is, a Size 9, etc etc.And music has no time frame, every good dj knows that…See More
